As you may have noticed the chatrooms subforum is gone. This is due to the website for the chatrooms deleting them due to inactivity. Had I known about this, I wouldn't have set up the chatrooms on that website. Obviously they weren't used that much anyway, but I still feel obligated to give the members of this forum some way to interact live with each other. So if anyone can recommend a site that allows free chatrooms without deadlines like this, it would be most appreciated. Until then, you can use the built-in chat, now at the bottom of the forum.
The second update is on our new alternative language subforum. I would like for alternative languages to have both a forum for discussing lojban, as well as an off-topic forum for people to discuss both in their native language. There has already been a French forum created, and I've now heard from multiple sources about a Japanese lojban following. I'd like to hear from our members about this. What language forums should be made? Help from native/secondary speakers in creating the forums would be greatly appreciated, as I don't like to rely solely on a translator.

I never quite understood the need for another chatroom; #lojban on freenode[1] is very active and the best place to go for anyone wishing to talk in or about Lojban. As for the language subforums, I'd simply wait until there is a high demand for a particular language. French and Japanese are good candidates, but I wouldn't add a bunch of languages that aren't going to be used. -- [1]: webchat.freenode.net/ channel: #lojban
